Business Dynamics Limited (BDL) was founded by Barbara McBride-Cataletto in 1998 as a spine-specialized firm dedicated to providing coding, billing, and collection services for spine surgeons. To date, the core focus and the foundation of the company continues to be the delivery of outstanding coding, claim generation, and collection services which have proven to result in maximum reimbursement to our clients. As spine services have evolved, the reimbursement process has expanded to include the processing of Injection Procedures, Diagnostic Procedures, ASC Facility Fees, etc.
BDL continues to succeed by expanding operations, developing staff efficiency and providing the continuous training and skills needed to develop top agents in the field of medical reimbursement and spine coding. For example, our internal Claim Audit and Reviews Department is dedicated to providing all of the detailed services necessary to fully maximize revenues for every billing service client. These services involve reimbursement reviews, corrections to fees paid, and encouraging state agency aid if necessary. Arbitration issues are addressed. Restructuring and general maintenance of the claim filing process originating in the client office may be necessary. Special attention is given to accuracy of the claims filed and access to additional monies due.

A dedicated and dynamic individual with over 20 years of expertise in the spine industry, Barbara Cataletto has personally raised the bar on revenue management systems for both physician and implant companies in the spine industry. Through her innovative and operation driven systems, she has been able create a dramatic new way for physicians to realize great revenue generation. Barbara Cataletto and the staff at Business Dynamics provide only the highest level of services for her clients in the spine industry – enabling them to realize maximum reimbursement for their services. Barbara Cataletto received her Master’s of Business Administration from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. She is a Certified Professional Coder, nationally recognized subject matter expert and national lecturer in all areas of Spine Coding and Reimbursement. She was the recipient of the 2007 Trailblazer Award from the National Association of Women Business Owners and is an affiliate of the North American Spine Society, the Medical Group Managers Association, the Better Orthopedic Network Exchange, the National Association of Healthcare Consultants, Who’s Who of Women Executives, Who’s Who of Business Executives, and the National Association of Female Executives.
Mauro M. Cataletto, M.D.

Dr. Mauro M. Cataletto is a retired Orthopedic Spine Surgeon from New York. He was Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a diplomat of the American Board of Forensic Examiners. He was a recipient of the National Leadership Award by the National Republican Congressional Committee, and was a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the International College of Surgeons. In addition, he is a member of the North American Spine Society, the American College of Physician Executives, and the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Cataletto’s role is of significant importance as Medical Director and Chairman of The Spine Council. He is actively involved in evaluating and defending surgeons and facilities against insurance denials, reimbursement difficulties and those issues that continue to infringe upon the financial positions of Spine Surgeons throughout the United States. His participation in discussions with insurance carriers and medical directors has had a direct impact on the success of Business Dynamics. As leader in education, his 25 years of managing a progressive spine practice incorporates the many strategies often discussed and recommended to our clients and provided through various lectures and conferences.
Candice Brody, MBA, CPC

Ms. Brody’s thorough knowledge of claims processing and billing operations is supported by over 10 years experience in the spine reimbursement field. A vital component of the Business Dynamics Limited team, she oversees the office operations department and coordinates with the other managers to ensure the smooth and efficient progression of the day-to-day operations. She constantly monitors coding trends and processing changes to remain several steps ahead in the insurance game. She has spearheaded several different appeal discussions with the Medical Directors and Executives of many Major Insurance Carriers. A Certified Professional Coder, and leading spine coder in all areas, Ms. Brody received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Health and Nutrition Sciences from Brooklyn College and went on to earn her Masters in Business Administration from Adelphi University in New York.
The BDL Team
The team of Business Dynamics Limited consists of executive management, administrators, unit coordinators, senior auditors, senior processors, auditors, and processors. Certification program, including Coding Certifications, Management Certifications and various higher levels of training are the norm for Business Dynamics staff members. We believe in internal education and emphasize the importance of continual education to our staff and clients. Every employee in our corporate office completes mandatory BDL training courses specific to their areas of concentration within the company. The 8-10 class sessions prepare our specialists to handle various situations that may arise pertaining to spine coding and billing. Tests are then given to each staff member to ensure that they are prepared to deliver the level of service that we pride ourselves upon. Several members of our BDL team maintain CPC Coding Certification. Our experts are lead by an experienced executive management team with educational levels including MBA degrees. Our management team and administrative team, many of whom hold Masters and Bachelor Degrees, along with Management Certifications, maintain the utmost professionalism. They are involved in all aspects of the business, from training new employees to developing new products.
